Instructions and Supported Firmware Versions

Camera vendor instructions and latest firmware:

• Insta360 One X2 instructions.
  • Install Version 1.0.62.
• Insta360 One RS 1-Inch 360 Edition instructions.
  • Install Version 2.0.11.
• Insta360 X3 instructions.
  • Install Version 1.0.85.
• Insta360 X4 instructions.
  • Install Version 1.2.21.
• Ricoh Theta X: update via WiFi network, smartphone, or computer.
  • Install Version 2.51.0.

Identify Firmware Version and Serial Number

Insta360

Insta360 cameras appear in your mobile device WiFi or TwinCapture listings as follows:

• The camera model.
• The last six digits of the Serial Number.
• It is always followed by ".OSC". (The acronym OSC stands for One Shot Color, and indicates that the camera takes full-color images in single shots.)

Example: ONE X2 6R99V2.OSC

One X2

This is how to find the Firmware Version and Serial Number:

1. Hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn it on.
2. Swipe down on the touchscreen.
3. Swipe left.
4. Tap on the Settings gear icon on the bottom right.
5. Swipe up until you reach Camera Info and tap on it.
6. The Firmware Version and Serial Number (Camera Name) will now appear.

One RS 1-Inch 360 Edition

This is how to find the Firmware Version and Serial Number:

1. Hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn it on.
2. Swipe down on the touchscreen.
3. Swipe left.
4. Tap on the Settings gear icon on the bottom left.
5. Swipe up until you reach Camera Info and tap on it.
6. The Firmware Version and Serial Number (SN) will now appear.

X3

This is how to find the Firmware Version and Serial Number:

1. Hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn it on.
2. Swipe down on the touchscreen.
3. Tap on the Settings gear icon on the bottom center.
4. Tap on Camera Info.
5. The Firmware Version and Serial Number (S/N) will now appear.

X4

This is how to find the Firmware Version and Serial Number:

1. Hold the power button on for 2 seconds to turn it on.
2. Swipe down on the touchscreen.
3. Swipe left.
4. Tap on the Settings gear icon on the bottom left.
5. Tap on Camera Info.
6. The Camera Serial No (number) and Camera Firmware version will now appear.

Ricoh

Ricoh Theta cameras appear in your mobile device WiFi or TwinCapture listings as follows:

• The word "THETA".
• The complete Serial Number.
• It is always followed by ".OSC". (The acronym OSC stands for One Shot Color, and indicates that the camera takes full-color images in single shots.)

Example: THETAYN10230046.OSC

Theta X

The Serial Number is on the bottom of the camera and in the touchscreen settings:

1. Hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn it on.
2. Swipe down on the touchscreen to enter Settings.
3. Swipe up until you see Camera Information, then tap on it.
4. The Firmware Version and Serial Number will now appear at the top.
