Introduction
An OmniNote lets you easily capture high-resolution photos and link them to 360° imagery. This helps you document specific details while maintaining spatial context.

What are "OmniNotes"?
The Cupix TwinCapture OmniNote lets you take photos or record voice memos during 360° video walks.
(Note: Your mobile device's camera is used to record the photos.)

Set up Custom OmniNote Tags
To create Custom Tags in Team Settings for clear classification of OmniNotes:
- Navigate to Settings.
- Under the Team section, select the 'Set up OmniNote tags.' tab.
- Click Add, then enter the tag name and choose a preferred color.
Note: You must have Team Admin access to set up OmniNote tags.
PhotoNotes
Details
- Each PhotoNote is automatically added to your SiteView in the location where it was recorded using 3D geotagging.
- The images blend seamlessly into your SiteView capture.
- Cupix AI extracts text from your PhotoNote using Optical Character Recognition. Text characters that appear in images are searchable using a keyword search in SiteView.
- Each PhotoNote can be added to a new or existing annotation and re-positioned as needed.
- Note: We do not apply facial/body blurring to PhotoNote images.
- You can add a Tag or Caption to your PhotoNote.
Create and Tag PhotoNotes during a Capture
PhotoNotes are collected during capture using the Cupix TwinCapture App.
- Tap on PhotoNote.
- Capture your PhotoNote.
- Add a Caption by talking to the mobile device for further description. (Only available for the PhotoNote feature.)
If satisfied with the preview, tap Use Photo.
Optionally, assign a tag by selecting from the predefined tag list.
(PhotoNotes are taken during Video Capture)
Note: PhotoNotes appear in SiteView after the Capture is published.
Add Captions to PhotoNotes
Add details to the PhotoNote with a Caption, which will be automatically transcribed in SiteView:
- Tap on Speak Caption to record a voice recording after capturing a PhotoNote.
- Tap Stop to end the recording.
- A checkmark will appear once the recording is complete.
- To re-record or delete, click "Caption Recorded" and choose an option.
- When done, tap Use Photo.
VoiceNotes
Details
- Each VoiceNote is automatically added to your SiteView in the location where it was recorded.
- Cupix AI auto-transcribes your VoiceNote into text, making the text searchable using a keyword search in SiteView.
- Supported Languages for Auto Voice Transcription - English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, German, French, Italian, Danish, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic.
- Each VoiceNote can be added to a new or existing annotation and re-positioned as needed.
- You can add a Tag to your VoiceNote.
Create VoiceNotes During a Capture
- Tap the VoiceNote button while recording a video.
- Record your voice using your mobile device. Tap Stop to end the recording.
- Optionally, assign a tag by selecting from the predefined tag list.
(VoiceNotes are taken during Capture)
Note: VoiceNotes appear in SiteView after the Capture is published.
Use OmniNotes in SiteView
View and Manage OmniNotes in SiteView
View and manage tagged OmniNotes and Captions in SiteView for clearer communication:
- Click 'Add Tag' and choose a tag from the predefined list.
- To edit the auto-transcribed Caption, click the three dots and 'Edit Caption'.
Navigation and Identification
- The plan viewer helps locate OmniNotes easily.
- The interactive OmniNote column and plan enable quick navigation.
- Custom tags are color-coded on the plan viewer for easy identification.
One Click Report Generation
Generate PDF reports with advanced filtering options with a single click.
Filter by:
- Capture Date
- PhotoNote or VoiceNote
- Tag
- Work Area
OmniNote reports provide timeline-based insights by comparing OmniNotes across locations and dates, highlighting maintenance and changes.
Add OmniNotes to Annotations
Enhance tagging of site context information and improve collaboration by using OmniNote for annotation attachments:
- Create a new Annotation in either the OmniNote or Open Annotation tab.
- Drag and drop the selected OmniNotes.
- Hover over the OmniNote to quickly view and navigate to the associated annotation.
Additional Notes
OmniNotes are available during Video Capture only
- Cupix TwinCapture OmniNote is not available in 360° Photo mode; only 3D Video and 360° Video modes.
You must be logged in to use OmniNotes in SiteView
- You must have the appropriate Project Access to use OmniNotes
- Using OmniNotes with Annotations may require an additional level of Project Access
Repositioning and Editing PhotoNotes
- PhotoNotes can be repositioned in SiteView by clicking "Custom Position" from the OmniNote list
- Text can be modified by clicking "Edit Description" from the OmniNote list
