360° Photo (Camera Image and Video)
Insta360 One X2 and One RS (360 & 1-inch editions)
All Insta360 camera models prior to 2024 use a file pair for video recordings.
- INSP (photo) file titled IMG_"year, month, date"_"time stamp"_"lens number"_"file number"
- Example: IMG_20210928_104502_00_002.insp
- INSV (video) file titled VID_"year, month, date"_"time stamp"_"lens number"_"file number"
- Example: VID_20210815_024523_10_006.insv
Note 1: The Insta360 LRV (Low-Resolution Video) file format is NOT SUPPORTED. It is a proxy helper file for editing in the Insta360 mobile app.
Note 2: Insta360 videos are created as pairs of lenses. This is indicated as _00_ and _10_ in the file name. Both of these files need to be uploaded together.
IMPORTANT!!! Changing the INSP or INSV file names and/ or file extensions will render them unreadable. The original format must be kept intact by uploading to CupixWorks.
Insta360 X4
The X4 was released in April 2024 using the same file naming convention as other Insta360 cameras. However, there is only a single .INSV file for video recordings and a matching .LRV metadata file. CupixWorks interfaces only ask that you upload a single .INSV file.
Example:
Ricoh THETA X
- JPG or MP4 titled as R "sequence number"
- Examples: R0010049.jpg or R0010108.mp4
CPXSV
- CPXSV (Cupix Site View file format)
