Form Template Administration

Form Templates are pre-set forms Cupix admins can create that allow team members to document site changes.  Use Form Templates to create documents (RFI forms, to do lists, notes, etc.) with highly customizable fields. Users can then create annotations using these Form Templates in a SiteView or the Cupix Capture App.

Note: you can import or export Form Templates from one Project to another.


Add New Form Template

To add a new form template:

  1. In Project Center click on Settings  at the top right of the screen.
  2.  Click on Form Templates  .
  3. Click on New Form Template.
    Note: The Form Editor lets you insert field options on the left, view the form mockup in the center, and change form properties on the right.
  4. In the Form Editor, click fields under the Insert Field menu to add them to the form mockup in the center.
  5. Click any field in the form mockup to edit the field properties in the right menu.
  6. Click and drag the fields in the form mockup to rearrange them.
  7. Click Preview to view how the form would appear on a mobile platform or SiteView.
  8. Click on Create & Save to save your new form.


Edit a Form Template

To edit a Form Template:

  1. In Project Center click on Settings  at the top right of the screen.
  2. Click on Form Templates  .
  3. Double left click on the form template name to open the Form Editor.
  4. Add, remove, and edit fields as needed.
  5. Click on Preview to see how the form will look in a SiteView and the Capture App. Click X to return to the editor.
  6. Click on Save to save all updates to the form.


Import Form Template

In addition to creating new Form Templates, you can also import JSON files to create new ones.

To import a JSON file to create a new Form Template:

  1. In Project Center click on Settings  at the top right of the screen.
  2. Click on Form Templates  .
  3. Click on New Form Template.
  4. Click on Import.
  5. Select the JSON file that contains the Form Template, then click on Open.
  6. Use options within the Form Editor to make changes or add new fields.
  7. When you are finished with editing, click Create & Save to save your Form Template.


Export Form Template

You can also export Form Templates as JSON files.

To export a Form Template as a JSON file:

  1. In Project Center click on Settings  at the top right of the screen.
  2. Click on Form Templates  .
  3. Double left click on the form template name.
  4. Click on Export. The file will be placed into download folder.
  5. You are done. You can click elsewhere or close the browser tab.
