Upload 360° Photos or Videos

Use Cupix Connect to upload captures taken with the Capture App after you submit the Capture Data in the Capture App.
IMPORTANT!
360° cameras cannot be accessed with a USB cable by computers using virtual desktop environments, such as Citrix, VirtualBox, or VMware. If you have a virtual desktop system, please use the microSD card from your Insta360 camera or another computer.
Camera Upload Options
Depending on the 360° Camera you use, you have different options for uploading photos or videos:
Insta360 Cameras
- 360° Camera
- Automatically scans the camera for 360° photos or videos.
- Folder
- Via Camera USB to the computer. Select the folder that contains the photos or videos. You can select the entire hard drive letter (i.e., "C" or "D") or the "Camera01" folder on the camera.
- Via microSD card inserted into a card reader or the computer directly.
Ricoh Theta Z1 Camera
- 360° Camera
- Automatically scans the camera for 360° photos or videos.
- When a cable is unavailable, you can use WiFi to connect your Theta Z1 camera instead.
- Folder
- For the Ricoh Theta Z1, you cannot select the photos/videos from the camera's drive folder directly, so do this instead:
- Copy the photos or videos to a folder on the computer.
- Choose the hard drive letter (i.e., "C") or specific folder when you reach Step 2 below.
- For the Ricoh Theta Z1, you cannot select the photos/videos from the camera's drive folder directly, so do this instead:
Upload Process
Here are the steps to upload your image files:
1. Click on Upload 360° Files.
2. Choose your method:
- Use 360° Camera if you'd like to upload directly from the camera using a USB cable to computer connection.
- Use Folder if you'd like to transfer photos or videos with:
- Camera is connected to the computer with a USB cable.
- MicroSD card connected to the computer.
- Copy the photos to the computer first, then upload them from that hard drive letter or specific folder.
3. Here are the steps for using 360° Camera and Folder.
360° Camera
1. Click on 360° Camera.
The screen will show the process of confirming the Capture Data with the photos or videos on the camera.
2. Once the processing is done, a list of all photos or videos ready for uploading will be listed. Click on the Upload button.
The screen will show the process of uploading the photos or videos to the CupixWorks web server.
3. Once all the photos or videos are uploaded, a message will appear confirming the upload as completed. Click on the Ok button to finish.
Folder
1. Click on Folder.
2. Click on the Select button.
3. Navigate to the folder that has your photos or videos in it. Note that it may appear to be missing all the files. Click on Select Folder.
4. Click on the Next button.
The screen will show the process of transferring the photos or videos from the camera to the computer.
5. Once the processing is done, a list of all photos or videos ready for uploading will be listed. Click on the Upload button.
The screen will show the process of uploading the photos or videos to the CupixWorks web server.
6. Once all the photos or videos are uploaded, a message will appear confirming the upload as completed. Click on the Ok button to finish.
Note: Computer Sleep Mode
When your computer enters Sleep Mode, network connections become inactive. This will then stop the uploading process between Connect and the CupixWorks servers. You can restart the upload process again if this happens.
To avoid this in the future:
- Change the computer settings for Sleep to a longer period of time.
- Change the computer settings for Sleep to Never.
