Change Compare Mode

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Introduction

The Compare View in Dual Split mode offers three versatile compare modes: Dual Camera, Single Camera, and TwinLens. Each mode provides a unique way to analyze 360° virtual tours or BIM models, helping you identify differences efficiently. This article explains how to select and use each mode for effective comparisons.

Compare Mode

The Compare View in Dual Split mode now features three distinct compare modes. You can select a compare mode from the center of the Dual Split view.

  • Dual Camera: Default side-by-side comparison that displays two separate viewers of the same area.
  • Single Camera: Overlapped views with a slider to reveal portions of each viewer.
  • TwinLens: Movable viewer displaying BIM or different captures over your main viewer.

Note:

  • These compare modes are available only in BIM Compare View and Timeline Compare View when using Dual Split mode. They are not supported in Triple or Quad Split modes.

Dual Camera

Dual Camera: This side-by-side comparison maintains synchronized navigation, displaying two separate views next to each other.

Single Camera

Single Camera: This mode features overlapped views with a slider that reveals portions of each environment (either two as-built 360° virtual tours from different time periods or as-built vs. BIM), making it easy to identify differences precisely where they occur.

  • Click the Single Camera mode to switch to a unified view for comparing captures or BIM.
  • Use the adjustable slider to control the visibility of each environment.
  • Navigate as usual – both environments will remain synchronized as you move through the space.

TwinLens

TwinLens: This mode places a movable and resizable floating viewer over your main viewer. The floating viewer displays the second capture or BIM only within its boundaries. You can freely position and resize this viewer to focus on specific areas for targeted comparisons.

  • Select TwinLens mode to add a movable and resizable viewer on the capture viewer.
  • Reposition or resize the viewer as needed to observe your comparison.
    • Resize viewer: Drag the corners to adjust the size.
    • Reposition viewer: Drag the viewer’s top bar to move it.
  • Navigate as usual – the main viewer and TwinLens viewer will remain synchronized.
  • Use the opacity slider in the upper right corner of the TwinLens window to control visibility.
  • To switch back to Dual Camera or Single Camera mode, move the mouse to the top left corner of the TwinLens window.
