Introduction
This article highlights the updates introduced in TwinCapture 3.0 and later. The new release features a clearer step-by-step capture flow and an improved interface for easier navigation, monitoring, and upload management.
Change Overview
- Guided Capture Workflow – Each setup step is now divided into guided screens instead of selecting all options on the main page.
- Streamlined Upload Interface – Updated layout with clearer upload status and progress display.
- Intuitive Main Screen – Displays pending upload count and camera information, and provides a simpler way to start new captures.
Important Note for Insta360 X5 Users:
- To use the Insta360 X5 with TwinCapture 3.0, the camera firmware must be version 1.6.18 or later.
- Please ensure that the X5 firmware meets this minimum requirement. The latest firmware is available for download here or through the Insta360 mobile app (version 2.10.0 or later is required for this firmware upgrade).
Important Note for Desktop Upload:
- A desktop upload issue has been resolved in TwinCapture version 3.0.11 and later.
- To upload through CupixConnect, ensure cellular data is available. Simply tap Back to Main after the capture and begin the upload using CupixConnect (no additional action is required in the TwinCapture app).
- Once the upload is completed through CupixConnect, the Upload Required message in TwinCapture will disappear.
