Introduction
The Timeline Report feature in SiteView allows you to document site progress at a specific location by exporting a screenshot view across one or more capture dates. This is useful for visually tracking changes over time, sharing updates with stakeholders, or creating progress archives.
What Is a Timeline Report?
A Timeline Report combines a captured view of your site with a visual timeline of selected capture dates, and can be exported as a PDF file.
Use a Timeline Report to:
- Track visual changes at a specific location
- Document progress between selected dates
- Share visual records with your team
How to Generate a Timeline Report
Follow these steps to create and export a Timeline Report from your selected view and capture dates in SiteView:
- Navigate to the Capture Viewer in SiteView and adjust the view to the location and angle you want to document.
Note: The view is fixed at the moment you take the screenshot. To change it, cancel the process and start over with a new view.
- Click the Take Screenshot and Generate Timeline Report button
in the Options at the top-right corner of the viewer.
- In the Screenshot with Timeline Changes dialog, enter a title for the report (required) and an optional description.
- Select which capture dates to include:
- Current Capture: Only the currently displayed capture date.
- Capture Date Range: A continuous range of capture dates (all dates from the start to the end date).
- Selected Captures: Manually select one or more specific capture dates.
Note: If a selected date does not have a pano for the current view, the date will be marked in red and the nearest available pano will be displayed instead.
- Choose the Print Order (newest first or oldest first), and enable the Include Measurements toggle if needed.
- Click Export to generate the report. Once report generation is complete, click Open Report.
- The report will open in a new browser tab. Select your desired paper size and layout, then click Print as PDF to save the report as a PDF file.
