Introduction
OmniNotes let you capture high-resolution photos and voice memos during a video capture using the TwinCapture app. These notes are automatically geotagged and integrated into SiteView, enabling you to document site conditions with precise spatial context.
They help streamline field documentation and communication by making content easy to search, organize with custom tags and captions, and reference across time and location. You can also generate PDF reports to support progress tracking when needed.
Note:
- SiteView Observers can view OmniNotes but cannot modify them. All other roles have full access.
- The OmniNote feature is not available to users with public access.
OmniNote Types: PhotoNotes and VoiceNotes
There are two types of OmniNotes you can create during capture using the TwinCapture app:
- PhotoNotes – High-resolution photos that are automatically linked to the location where they were captured in SiteView. After taking a photo, you can optionally add a voice caption, which is automatically transcribed and saved with the image.
- VoiceNotes – Audio-only memos recorded during capture. These are also auto-linked to their capture location and transcribed, allowing you to search by keywords in SiteView.
Note: A caption is an optional voice description added to a PhotoNote, while a VoiceNote is an independent voice memo not tied to a photo.
Create OmniNotes During Capture
You can create PhotoNotes and VoiceNotes directly from the TwinCapture app while recording in 3D Video or 360° Video mode. OmniNotes are not available in 360° Photo mode.
