Create a Folder for Image Files

• Create a folder on your computer to hold the image files. We recommend placing it somewhere easy to find, like on your Desktop.
• Do not use a folder in a network-attached drive. The image files need to be on the local computer drive for uploading to CupixWorks.

Connect the Camera to the Computer

1. Use the USB cable that came with your camera and connect it to the computer.
2. You should hear a series of sounds that indicate it is connecting.
   • Note: Insta360 cameras require setting the camera to U-Disk or Desktop Mode to connect. Visit the Insta360 Cameras section to find your camera & learn how to make sure it is set up properly.
3. Once the sounds stop, open your computer's file explorer (if it doesn't do so automatically).
4. Here are the options for each camera brand:
   • Insta360 camera models have USB drive details that typically look something like this:
     • USB Drive (E:) and subfolders DCIM -> Camera01.  
   • Ricoh camera models have USB details that typically look like this:
     • Ricoh Theta X and subfolders DCIM -> 100RICOH.

Locate Image Files on the Camera

1. Click on the camera drive folders until you reach the image files:
   • Insta360 cameras: USB Drive -> DCIM -> Camera01.
   • Ricoh cameras: Ricoh Theta X -> DCIM -> 100RICOH.
2. Locate the image files you have recorded by the file names:
   • Insta360 cameras:
     • Videos start with VID_ and end with .INSV. 
       • Pre-2024 cameras use pairs of .INSV files.
       • The X4 uses a single .INSV file. (The .LRV file is a metadata file.)
     • Photos start with IMG_ and end with .INSP.
   • Ricoh cameras: 
     • Videos begin with R00 and end with .MP4.
     • Photos begin with R00 and end with .JPG.

Download Image Files to the Computer

1. Highlight the files you need in the camera folder.
2. Right-click on one of the files, then click on Copy. Alternatively, press Control + C.
3. Inside the computer folder you created, right-click, then click on Paste. Alternatively, press Control + V.
