Using the Level Editor - Sketch Tool
The Sketch tool allows you to work with Reference Plans. Here is the layout and general explanation of each tool's use:
- Upper Menu Bar:
- Project Name - current Project being edited.
- Level - current level being edited.
- Lower Menu Bar:
- Undo/ Redo - edit the changes you are making.
- Ref. Plan - toggle the Reference Plan as viewable or unviewable.
- Sketch - toggle Sketch Objects on and off.
- Split 3D/ 2D View - splits the view screen, and allows you to see the 3D version of the Reference Plan.
- Show Site Insights - BETA feature with details to follow.
- Level Height - adjust the height of walls added to a Sketch.
- Default Wall Width - adjust the width of walls added to a Sketch.
- Keep Angle When Dragging - toggle this to lock/ unlock the ability to change the Interior Length of a wall.
- Info about the selected item - click on the
icon to make further adjustments for each Sketch option when chosen.
- List Menu- under the far left side, you have the following tools:
- Insert Rooms - add four walls to a space to create a square or rectangular Room.
- Insert Walls - add individual walls to to a space to create Rooms with various angles.
- Insert Text - add text or icons to a space for additional notation.
- Insert Polyline - add polylines to a space for a variety of uses, including make a 3D Room.
- Translate the Sketch - locate your Sketch at a specific coordinate point.
- Add Layer - create as many Layers as you need.
- Export - download your Sketch file in DXF or IFC formats.
- Default 2D View - this is the central viewer that shows the Reference Plan.
