Spatial Indexing - Beta Feature
By default, pano icons are loaded in progressive order within SiteView because pano information is loaded progressively as well. If SiteView has thousands (ie: tens of thousands) of panos, user will see this as panos loading on the reference plan sequentially. This results in a long time to load the panos on the reference plan in SiteView.
Spatial indexing pre-records all pano spatial information so when a SiteView is initialized, panos appear on the reference plan almost instantly.
Access Spatially Indexed SiteView
To open a spatially indexed SiteView:
- From the Project Center, navigate to SiteViews > Click SiteView name > SiteView Info Menu
- Scroll to the bottom and click Open with Indexed Capture.
If any edits are made to an area in a SiteView (ie: a capture is moved to a different level or capture), the SiteView will need to be re-indexed with the updated information.
Re-index a SiteView
You can re-index the SiteView either through the project center or by opening the SiteView.
From the Project Center
To re-index a SiteView in the project center:
- From the Project Center, navigate to SiteViews > Click SiteView name > SiteView Info Menu
- Scroll to the bottom and click Reindex Capture Data.
From the SiteView
To re-index a SiteView by accessing it:
- Open the spatially-indexed version of the SiteView, and Rebuild Spatial Index window will automatically appear.
- Within the Rebuild Spatial Index window, click Rebuild and reload.
Whichever method you use, the CupixWorks server will re-index all pano data, and the updates will be applied immediately.
