Capture Mode Overview
Once you have connected to a 360° camera, downloaded a project template, and set the capture level and reference plan, begin your capture by tapping Capture New Area.
Capture Modes
Captures can be created using Multi-Shot, Video, and Single-Shot mode. Select the appropriate capture mode depending on your use case.
Multi-Shot
Tip: This capture mode is used to create high quality digital twins.
- Take multiple 360° photos of an area you want to capture.
- By default, you can take up to 20 photos, however this can be increased to 400 photos per capture area.
- Once the capture is uploaded, CupixWorks automatically maps the 360° photos to the selected reference plan.

Video
Tip: This capture mode is used to create digital twins quickly.
- Record a 360° video while you walk through the jobsite.
- By default, you can record up to 1 minute of footage, however this can be increased to 10 minutes per capture area.
- Once the capture is uploaded, CupixWorks automatically selects frames from the 360° video and maps these 360° images to the selected reference plan.

Single-Shot
Tip: This capture mode is used for simple cases that don't require a full digital twin.
- This capture consists of one 360° photo.
- In this capture mode you will mark the location of each photo on the reference plan.
