Searching and Filtering for Annotations

SiteView offers three ways to search for annotations and markups in a digital twin.

  • From the capture window
  • From the reference plan
  • Using the search function

Search from the Capture Window

When navigating through the 3D digital twin, annotations and markups appear as pinned icons in the displayed 360° photo. The farther the annotation, the smaller the icon. The farthest annotation you can see is determined by the clipping radius, which can be adjusted from the SiteView Settings, with a maximum distance of 100 ft.

Annotations are marked with a blue note icon and markups are marked by a grey squiggle line icon.

  1. Double clicking on an annotation or markup brings the viewer to the 360° photo that is closest to the annotation and displays the annotation on screen.
  2. To exit the annotation or markup, click the X in the upper right corner of the annotation menu.

Search from the Reference Plan

The reference plan window displays 360° photo locations and annotations overlaid on the floor plan.

Annotations are marked with a blue note icon and markups are marked by a grey squiggle line icon. When zooming out of a reference plan, annotations and markups that are close together are combined into one orange ring with a number in the center indicating the number of annotations that exist at that location.

  1. Double clicking on an annotation brings the viewer to the 360° photo that is closest to the annotation and displays the annotation on screen.
  2. To exit the annotation or markup, click the X in the upper right corner of the annotation menu.

Use the Search Function

The annotations menu has a search bar that allows you to search for annotations and markups with the following information:

  • Name of annotation or markup
  • Creator of annotation or markup

Hide resolved annotations by clicking on the double check mark icon next to the search box.
