Sharing In Project Center
Here is how to share items in Project Center:
- Click on the item you want to share. For example, I have chosen to share a Report. (Note: make sure you have clicked on the Info about the selected item icon
on the right side.)
- Click on the Sharing tab, then the blue Manage Access button.
- Add the email address of each team member or choose a group to give permission to.
- Choose the permission level. (See above {insert anchor link here} for an explanation of each option.)
- Check the "Notify people" box and/or "Add message" options. Otherwise, click on the Send button to provide permission.
Note that you can also change the access permissions a member has or remove a team member from here as well.
Sharing via Email Domain
An entire email domain can be given access to an item with a Group.
Important notes:
- CupixWorks doesn't send a notification to an entire email domain. Only people who know the URL link to the item can gain access.
- When someone with an email address in the blanket domain visits the item, that person authenticates themselves via email (i.e., type in their email address joe0005@acme.com) in order to gain access.
- Users and groups can be viewed under Settings
.
For example, consider a group called "plumbing vendor", where anyone with an @acme.com email address can immediately gain access to an item in CupixWorks.
Here is how to set this up:
- In Project Center, click on the Settings icon
.
- Click on Groups
.
- Highlight the group, then click on Edit. (Make sure you click on Info about the selected item
.)
- Add a domain to the Auto-Join Group Email Domains list, then click on the Save button.
- Now return to the item you want to share in Project Center, and choose the group (follow the steps listed in Sharing in Project Center above).
